The Fayette County Health
Department Home Health Care (Visiting Nurses) is for any homebound
resident of Fayette County whose condition warrants skilled health care but does not require
24 hour coverage in a hospital or nursing home. Medicare, Medicaid,
or Insurance often covers the cost of services. For patients not covered
by these insurance programs their bill, if they wish, can be adjusted to
the clients ability to pay. Services are available to Fayette County
residents regardless of
ability to pay.
Services include:

Visiting Nurses provide skilled nursing care under a
plan developed by patient, doctor and Fayette County Health
Department nurse.

Wound and Ostomy Specialist provides consultation
and treatment protocols.
|
 |
Certified Home Health Aides provide assistance with
personal care, exercise and medications.
|
 |
Physical
Therapy, Occupational and Speech Therapists provide
rehabilitation for patients following an individualized plan.

 |
Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides support,
counseling, and referrals for appropriate service to patients and families
involved in Fayette County Health Department Home Health Care and Maternal and Child Care Programs.
