Fayette County Health Department offers a free, informational based program that will educate participants of issues relevant to living with diabetes and services available to them. Participants receive a bi-monthly newsletter and updates on available services. The purpose of this program is to identify persons with diabetes and to provide workshops, informational , educational newsletters that include such topics as medication, foot/eye care, recipes and local resources.

A is for A1C
The A1C (A-one-C) test-short for hemoglobin A1C- measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the last 3 months. 
Suggested target: Below 7

B is for blood pressure
High blood pressure makes your heart work too hard.
Suggested target: below 130/80

C is for cholesterol
Bad cholesterol, of LDL, builds up and clogs your arteries.
Suggested LDL target: below 100
